Frequently Asked Questions
What does overnight care cover?
For pet-sitting clients, a typical overnight stay is 10 – 12 hours of care. Pet-sitting start-times begin between the hours of 4-6pm and thru the night until approximately 7am. An overnight stay includes one – two evening walks and one – two morning walks for dogs. Please note, on occasion, a pet-sitter may have to leave between the hours of 6-10pm to care for another household's pet and sometimes between the hours of 4 - 7am. The pet-sitter will always return to make certain your pet is cared for and given the care needed. If a client needs a guaranteed visit between the hours of 8am to 3pm, a drop-in visit will be added to the stay.
Some of our clients are nurses, doctors, police officers, bartenders, grocery store merchandiser's, pilots and so forth. Mutt Mutt Meow offers services 24/7 to all clients. Not everyone has chosen a 9-5pm lifestyle and our services are needed to support everyone who has decided to live an enhanced life with a pet.
What if a pet-sitter needs to begin prior to 4pm?
Should a pet need a guaranteed afternoon visit, there is an extra charge for a midday visit. On occasions, there will not be an extra fee if the pet-sitter is not booked between the hours of 8am to 3pm and at their discretion, decide to come back to a home during the 8 am to 3pm period to spend bonus time with the pets.
What if my pet needs care after 7am on the day I'm coming home from my trip?
Should a pet need a guaranteed afternoon visit, there is an extra charge for a midday visit. On occasions, there will not be an extra fee if the pet-sitter is not booked between the hours of 8am to 3pm and at their discretion, decide to come back to a home during the 8 am to 3pm period to spend bonus time with the pets.
What happens if my pet-sitter cancels a booking?
Once a pet-sitter has committed to a booking, they are committed. If they can no longer adhere to their commitment due to verified illness or a verified emergency, either their family emergency or there is an emergency with a pet they are currently caring for (for example, on a drop-in visit or a walk), then Mutt Mutt Meow will find someone within the company to guarantee that your pet(s) are cared for until the pet care professional is able to resume care as committed. No one will ever enter your home nor care for your pet without your permission, consent and the notification to the reason why someone may need to temporarily care for your pet until the pet care professional may resume their service.
what is the difference between a drop-in and a walk for a dog?
Mutt Mutt Meow offers 30 & 60 Minute Drop-Ins and also 30 & 60 Minute Walks.

Providing regular updates to pet owners, which include communicating with them telephonically or via email as well as sending video clips and photos. Promptly notifying pet owners of pet illnesses or injuries that may occur. Observe outdoor and indoor play to ensure safety of the pet. Photos are always provided.
Walks Include: Fresh water after the timed walk has commenced, photos and/or videos. Some Pet-Care Professionals will also provide the map of the walk after the walk has been completed.
